William Xu is Huawei's Director of the Board. Mr. Xu joined Huawei in 1991 as one of Huawei's first generation of entrepreneurs. Over the past 30 years, Mr. Xu has led the R&D of a range of key products and helped lay the foundation for Huawei's leading position in chips (HiSilicon), mobile networks, data center networks, and other key business. He has served as President of Research, President of R&D, Founding President of HiSilicon, President of the European Area, Chief Sales & Service Officer, Founding CEO of the Enterprise BG, Chairman of the Investment Review Board, Chief Strategy Marketing Officer, and President of the Institute of Strategic Research. Mr. Xu has made great achievements in product R&D, marketing, strategy development, and industry portfolio planning, playing an instrumental role in the growth of Huawei from a startup in China to a large international company.
