Dr. Congyan Tan is Vice President of China Institute of Finance and Capital Markets (CIFCM), the research institute of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). He specializes in economic and financial policy with years of global experience.  At the research institute he leads China macro research and international finance research. Prior to CIFCM, he worked as Senior Economist at the World Bank, in various roles leading economic and financial policy dialogues and research programs in Asia, Latin America, and Europe, and published policy reports on a range of issues in development. Dr. Tan studied in Peking University, University of Toronto, and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from University of California at Berkeley.
