Alex joined Tencent Group since 2020 as Senior Advisor leading InsureTech. Tencent (700.HK) is always devoting to enrich the lives of Internet users by technology.

Prior to Tencent, Alex has been working for Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd (2318.HK and 601318.SH), which is well known as a world-leading technology-powered retail financial services group, over 27 years and appointed as Vice Chairman and Executive Director. In 2011, Alex was promoted to President of the Company to manage daily operations and doubled as chairman of Ping An Trust between 2016 to 2019. Before that, as chairman and CEO, Alex was responsible for Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance Company Ltd more than 4 years from 2007. During the same period, Alex served as Senior Vice President of Group and Chief Insurance Business Officer.

Alex also successively served as Director of numbers of controlled subsidiaries of the Company including Ping An Life, Ping An Property & Casualty and Ping An Asset Management., etc.

Furthermore, Alex is also holding some key social positions in financial industry, including Executive Council Member of China Finance 40 Forum, Board Member of Shenzhen Finance Institute at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Chief Supervisor of Insurance Asset Management Association of China and President of Insurance Association of China, Internet Insurance Chapter.

Alex received Master Degree of Business Administration Peking University and is participating in Senior Executive Leadership Program(SELP) at Harvard Business School.
