Mr. Chen Kewen obtained a master’s degree in finance (MSc) and a bachelor’s degree in economics (BEc). In July 1997, he started his professional career in the Ministry of Commerce (Former Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation), and held positions in the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Finance and China Banking and Insurance Information Technology Management CO., LTD. (former China Insurance Information Technology Management CO., LTD) ever since.

From October 2005 to May 2014, he successively served as Deputy Division Director, Division Director, and Deputy Director of the Finance Department of the Ministry of Finance. From May 2014 to October 2019, he worked as Vice President of China Insurance Information Technology Management CO., LTD. Since November 2019, he has been acting as Secretary General of the Asian Financial Cooperation Association.
