The 2015 Tsinghua PBCSF Global Finance Forum “New Normal, New Finance” concluded successfully on Sunday 24th of May 2015 at New Tsinghua Auditorium, Tsinghua University, attracting over 50 distinguished speakers representing international regulators, industry and academia. The two-day event was attended by 10,000 attendees and received wide media coverage with more than 300 reporters reporting from on-site.
The opening ceremony was addressed by Qiu Yong, President of Tsinghua University, Ge Weiping, Vice Chairman of the Securities Association of China, Zhu Jinyuan, Chairman of the China Insurance Association, and Long Yongtu, Former Vice Minister and Chief Representative for Trade Negotiations of MOFTEC.

Wu Xiaoling, Dean of Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance and Co-head of the Tsinghua University National Institute of Financial Research, Wang Zhaoxing, Vice Chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, Chen Wenhui, Vice Chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, and Adair Lord Turner, Former Chairman of the UK Financial Services Authority and Chairman of the Governing Body of INET Economics, delivered keynote speeches.

In addition to the plenary session, the Forum held five parallel sessions with panels of global experts discussing and debating on themes of “The New Normal of Monetary Policies”, “Banking Revolution”, “Trends in Wealth Management”, “Capital Market Innovation”, and “Latest Trends in Internet Finance”.
Two award ceremonies, for the 2014 Sun Yefang Financial Innovation Award and the 2015 Tsinghua PBCSF Global Finance Forum Research Report Award respectively, were held to recognize achievements and contributions made in the financial field in the past year. The Sun Yefang Financial Innovation Award rewarded 6 works and 10 papers in total. 12 research reports, with topics on macro finance, money and banking, public finance, internet finance, company and industry, and capital markets, were awarded on the Research Report Award Ceremony.

On the evening of May 23, over 500 alumni and students were invited to an alumni event where they shared their experience and new ideas for innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Forum is hosted by Tsinghua University and organized by Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance and Tsinghua University National Institute of Financial Research.
