Congyan Tan is Deputy Director General at the Department of International Affairs,China Securities Regulatory Commission(CSRC). Mr.Tan served as Vice President of China Institute of Finance and Capital Markets (CIFCM), the research institute of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). At the institute he leads China macro and international finance research. Prior to CIFCM, he worked as Senior Economist at the World Bank, in various roles leading economic and financial policy dialogues and research programs in Asia, Latin America, and Europe, and published policy reports on a range of development issues. He studied in Peking University, University of Toronto, and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from University of California at Berkeley.
