Sim Tze Tzin is currently the Malaysian Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry and Member of Parliament. He possess strong passion in advancing global diplomacy, international trade, good governance, food security and industrial technology advancement. More than 20 years of political experiences from student leader, elected Member of Parliament to Deputy Minister of the Malaysian Government. Interested in solving global problems with collaborations with global leaders and international organizations.

Career Experience

2025 - now Deputy Minister of International Trade & Industry of Malaysia

Assisting the Minister in overseeing matters related to international trade, industrial development, investment promotion, and economic cooperation. The deputy helps represent Malaysia in trade negotiations, supports policy implementation, and engages with local and international stakeholders to boost Malaysia’s trade and industry sectors.

2025 - now Strategic Director of People’s Justice Party

2024 - now Political Secretary to People's Justice Party President

2013 - now Member of Parliament

Elected Member of Parliament for three consecutive terms. Focusing on

issues of food security, foreign affairs, industrial revolution 4.0, racial religion harmony, democracy, and human rights.

2023 - 2025 Parliament Public Accounts Committee (PAC)

PAC is instrumental in upholding transparency, accountability and check and balances of the Government. Sim is part of this 14-member strong committee that has produced impactful reports advancing good governance in Malaysia. PAC reports are highly respected by the Government, and widely referred by Malaysia public at large.

2023 - 2025 Chairman of Technology Depository Agency Berhad

Leads the board of this government-owned company under the Ministry of Finance Malaysia. TDA oversees the implementation of the Industrial Collaboration Programme (ICP), ensuring that large government procurements generate technology transfer, local industry development, and economic value. The Chairman provides strategic guidance, governance, and oversight to align TDA’s activities with national development goals.

2020 - 2022 Parliament Select Committee for Foreign Affairs

Advancing parliamentary diplomacy with Ambassadors, embassies and international organizations. Actively engaged with stakeholders to look into issues of ASEAN such as conflicts in Myanmar and South China Sea. Concern about global conflicts including Russian-Ukraine War.

2018 - 2020 Deputy Minister of Agriculture

Instrumental in advancing agriculture technology in terms of policies and implementations in Malaysia. Successfully implemented social security

scheme for 250,000 fishermen in Malaysia. Active promotion of agriculture export and reduce reliance of food import.

2015 - 2022 Strategic Director of People's Justice Party.

Instrumental in formulating and implementing party strategies, manifesto and ultimately winning 14th General Election.
