Zhang Shenfeng currently serves as Vice Chairman and Party Leadership Group Member of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). He previously held the position of Assistant Chairman and Party Committee Member of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). He began working in July 1982 and has held roles in the Shandong Provincial Government Office and the Shandong Securities Management Office. 

In June 1999, he successively served as Party Committee Member and Deputy Director of the CSRC Jinan Securities Regulatory Office, Party Secretary and Director of the CSRC Qingdao Special Commissioner’s Office, Party Secretary and Director of the CSRC Qingdao Securities Regulatory Bureau, Party Secretary and Director of the CSRC Shandong Securities Regulatory Bureau (concurrently serving as Director of the Jinan Investigation Bureau), Party Secretary and Chief of the CSRC Investigation Team, and Director of the CSRC Investigation Bureau (concurrently serving as Party Secretary and Chief of the Investigation Team). He also served as Chief Investigator and Director of the Investigation Bureau.  

From August 2012, he held various positions including Party Secretary and General Manager of the China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX), as well as Party Secretary and Chairman.
