Ouyang Weimin is a research fellow and senior economist, honored as an expert receiving the State Council Special Government Allowance. He currently serves as Vice President of the China Finance Society and formerly held the position of President of China Development Bank.

His extensive career includes: Vice Governor of Guangdong Provincial People's Government (concurrently serving as a leading Party member); Director-General of the Payment and Settlement Department, People's Bank of China (PBoC).
