He used to receive his PhD degree in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University before he joined ZestFinance as the Founding Member of modeling team. He then joined Turbo Financial Group, where he served as Co-Founder, Board of Directors, and CRO. Later, Gu became an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) and Investment Advisor at IDG-Accel/ IDG Capital Partners.
