Mr. Xiao Yuanqi is now the chief risk officer, chief of general office and spokesperson of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission. Prior to his current post, he served in Bank of China, the People's Bank of China and China Banking Regulatory Commission.

   Mr. Xiao has extensive experience in banking operation and banking supervision, including multiple overseas secondment roles. He received MBA at Cranfield University,  UK. Mr. Xiao is the author of dozens of academic articles and other publications. He also serves as part-time professor at PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University.
